I have severe arthritis in lower back and in both legs [ and I ] am presently taking propoxy for pain. I just had a bone density test which suggested I have some osteoporosis. My doctor knows this info, but has not prescribed a thing.

Capsicum red pepper in an ointment has been proven to block pain receptors. Walgreens carries a o.o7% which is very hot indeed. Glucosomine chondroitin I do not know if I spelled it right) has been shown to preserve joint space through x-ray studies. Good nutrition and avoiding refined foods help. Seeing a good Acupuncturist, Alternative MD, Naturopath, Chiropractor(Who also works with herbals and homeopathics) goes a long way. Of course exercise produces endorphins in the body which also help. Ginger helps reduce inflammation. Prime rose oil, Flaxseed oil, Vit E, Vit C, Soy products have phyto estrogens which help if you are deficient in estrogen. I have a "Computron" in my office which is miraculous in determining the path to follow in herbs and homeopathic medicines. It is "Investigational " here in this country, but is used in Germany quite a lot.

Arthritis is linked with the immune system. The only times have personally seen brilliant results was with a Chinese nutritional immunology line by Dr Chen of Brigham Young. It is called e-excel.

The other instances were with micro current frequency. I think the manufacturer is out of Oregon.

You have to consider the side-affects of drugs! Flax-seed oil omega 3 fatty acids some herbs, proper nutrition, exercise and self-hypno healing, will be the best way to go. Emotions, stress, mental & spiritual factors including anger can create all kind of problems in your body; arthritis is one of them.

If someone has arthritis and knows of a horse chestnut tree in his/her area, Get them. Cut the brown seeds into four and put them in a jar. Buy a Vodka or Whiskey (any strong alcoholic beverage without sugar). Cover the horse chestnuts and a little more, because they expand. Put the jar for 6 weeks in a sunny window. You pour then the liquid into another bottle and make poultices. You must be patient!!!. It took me 6 weeks to get rid of my arthritic pain, but it never came back.
My main specialty is Foot Reflexology. I love to teach. It is a very powerful Therapy.

Dear Sharon,
Arthritis is often created through the build up of inorganic minerals, poisons and toxins which have not been efficiently eliminated from the body. These substances then settle into the weakest areas of the body, hardening, creating immobility and pain. It shouldn't be a question of what to do about the pain, but what to do about the condition! This condition only has to be lived with if you choose to. I would do a thorough cleansing of the body, starting with the intestines, then liver, then urinary system, ending with the blood. Regardless of pain, bring movement into the area through activity and massage. You can also do external applications or soaking in apple cider vinegar and water which will help to break down the accumulated garbage. FIRST and foremost you must be very conscious about what you are feeding your body. Avoid processed foods, refined sugar, white flour and red meat. Drink distilled water, which is H2O only and that is all we need. It will help to flush out the garbage. Wishing you well!

As discussed by others, all body pain needs to be addressed on the physical level and the emotional level. For example, I had a client that was in his 60's and was in a lot of body pain, and on medication. After the first massage, he looked up with tears in his eyes. He said, "This is the first time in 10 years it wasn't in pain. The next 3 months I worked on him, to relax his body and to open his "energy". As I worked on him, he was smiling more, reduced almost all of his medications, started dating again, and started working part-time again---for the fun of it all. No, this wasn't a miracle. It was the willingness on his part to get out of pain and to seek other sources.

Please consider this: Just as our bodies are never disconnected from our breath, so they are never disconnected from our spirits. Physical ills are never "just" physical, but have emotional, psychological, spiritual -even creative, and sexual-energetic dimensions. Taking this more "wholistic" approach can greatly diminish the kind, degree and duration of physical distress. -Ask me more about this. See also "Stress Recess" article this month.

I am not familiar with propoxy, what is it? You should of course be on omega 3 fatty acids as well as other anti-inflammatory herbs such as boswella. Advanced Energy Healing will help with the emotional, mental, and spiritual components contributing to your arthritis. Often anger is a major factor.
