Hi,
I have been having trouble for about 2 weeks with bloating in
my stomach. I look like I am 6 months pregnant. Usually I am
quite thin, but since the bloating nothing fits me anymore.
It is worse as the day progresses. I wake up fairly normal.
Also my fingers are swollen and my feet. I eat healthy foods.
Mainly fruit, fish & salads and drink water a lot.
Any ideas. I am going to the doctor, but don't have any faith
in her. She will probably say I'm just gaining weight, but I
know it's more than that.
It is very uncomfortable and embarrasing. Please Help.
Thanks
Sue-Ellen

If you check out OK physically I would try a parasite cleanse
such as that by Awareness Corp in Tempe Az or one recommendend
in "The Cure For All Cancers". Interestingly there
is much correlation between parasites and manic depression.
Lose whole wheat bread products particularlly if trying to
lose weight. It will cause bloating and water retention particularly
when on a low calorie diet or a healthy diet as you described.
Investigate the homeopathic tissue salt Natrum Mur and perhaps
think about changing the salt you use to Celtic Sea Salt. Flower
of the Ocean may help. Hope you
find a solution soon. Dharma Bloating
is from gas and the swelling from fluid retention. It sounds
like food allergy to me. The two most common allergens are wheat
and dairy, so eliminate them first. Then keep a food diary and
take note of your symptoms, which may be delayed 24 to 72 hours
after the food is ingested. A modified elimination diet, and
special IgG allergy testing are also helpful tools. Food allergies
can often have an emotional basis for their origins but once
they have moved into the physical, it is best to avoid the offending
foods until the issues are resolved. I do long distance healing
sessions and would be happy to explore these issues with you
if you are interested.

Sue;
Please read my general comment to the question about blood pressure,
too, explaining that no physical condition exists apart from
our other "bodies": emotional, psychological, sexual-creative,
and spiritual. My "hit" is that indeed "nothing
fits," because something in your life badly needs changing.
Your body is taking to you! Are you "pregnant" with
new possibilities for work, but emotionally afraid? Your bloated
condition speaks of "water"/emotions retention; maybe
you've had a bellyful of something or someone? Cannot stomach
a situation? Can't feel solid ground right now, or? I sense great
sadness at this time with how your hands are expressing 'you'.....
- Just thoughts, Sue. These kinds of questions can be enormously
enlightening, and lead you to the solutions -including physical
- you require to be well. -marcia singer It
is unusual bloating or distension in abdominal area is not normal
and it can be due to many different factors. Many patient's find
that their symptoms get aggravated by certain food allergies.
Stress and anxiety also plays a role. You also mentioned about
swollen hands, which can also point to other factors. I need
additional information from you to better assist you. Sincerely, Dr. Said, L.AC.,OMD Dear
Sue:
Have you tried taking ultrabifidus and acidophilus prior to meals?
These should be purchased in the cold foods section of your local
health food store. Also add A-1 enzymes, 2 capusles with meals
three times per day will help disgest your food and prevent bloating.
Some people will may bloat with too much fiber, so be careful
of this. There are several Oriental herbal formulas that may
also help you. These can be purchased through a qualified acupuncturist.
Acupuncture may help as well. Marjorie,
L.Ac.,O.M.D. I am
very concern as this is definitely not normal. Yes, you should
seek professional help from a doctor. I would be concern on water
retention and also have them do some testing of accumulation
of the fluid in your stomach. Has your bowel movement change,
i.e., diarrhea some days, constipation other days, etc. This
is pertinent to know and let your doctor know this also. Good luck to you. Donna Bajelis Intestinal bloating can come
from many things. Parasites, Ileocecal valve spasm (closed) or
flacidity (open), lack of fiber, overgrowth of candida, tumor, etc.
You can try colon clenses from a health food store, 2) a colonic
from a person trained(usually an LMT), there are LMT's trained
to do visceral massages, Garlic capsules may help(usually you
have to take up to 10-15 pills/day to get any real help, atart
with 1-2/day at first and increase 1 pill / day to the levcel
of 1-15/day. If garlic disagrees with you, it's generaly a sign
that it will help you. You cut back on the dosage, sometimes
taking it with food to spread out it's effects. It kills candida
fungus and the side effect can be disagreeable.) If you continue
to have problems with the garlic, you might consider herbs ie.
echinacea, astralgus, bee propolis, ets. Good luck. Colustrum
also has been shown to be beneficial.
