| I am 59 years old
and have cysts on both ovaries. I was told that it is uncommon
at this age. Found quite by accident. Are they dangerous and
should I consider a hysterectomy? |

Dear Joan,
Ovarian cysts in your age group while not as common in younger
women although are usually the same type. One study of 443 benign
ovarian cysts revealed a total of 48 in women aged 55-64 as compared
to 301 in women aged 20-44. Diagnosis can be established with
ultrasound, MRI, and needle aspiration biopsy to rule out malignant
disease. If the cysts are benign, surgery would not be my first
choice. There are herbal as well as energetic approaches to mange
your problem. Since I am an energy healer as well as a physician
I would use Advanced Energy Healing to find the cause of the
cysts and transmute the energy causing them. This should result
in a reversal of the cysts and a way for you to prevent their
recurrence.

| Yes, ovarian cysts
are uncommon in women who are of menopausal age. If they are
simple cysts they are not dangerous. They can occasionally burst
and cause great pain but it is not life threatening and a hysterecotmy
is not a recommendation. Dr.
